The Primary Montessori Curriculum

Practical Life
Practical Life includes exercises in developing concentration, independence, and control of movement while providing the basis for sequencing and order. Examples of practical life include buttoning and tying exercises, pouring grains and water, hand and table washing, movement, and art.
Sensorial
Sensorial materials aim to isolate each of the five senses for the child to refine and classify. An introduction to music, geometry, algebra, and geography is also included in this area of study.
Language
Language focuses on the three areas of language: spoken language, writing, and reading. Further language study incorporates functions of words (noun, adjective, article, verb, adverb, conjunction, preposition), sentence analysis, and word study (i.e., homonyms, antonyms, compound words).

Mathematics covers the following concepts:
- Numbers 1 to 10
